We're heading out on our Mediterranean cruise in less than a week! So be looking out for future posts!

I hope you all have a great week!

Canyoning Interlaken

We had a blast in Switzerland! I can't wait to go back and do some more 'intense' stuff. I'll post about our trip a little later but I wanted to share this with you all!

For those who don't know... I'm deathly afraid of heights. Put it this way, we took a lift up to the top of some mountain and I was literally bear hugging Cameron, crying and breathing heavily the whole way up. Needless to say... people where staring. So, you can imagine canyoning was a trip outside my 'comfort zone.' But, I still had a blast and momentarily conquered my fear.
Thankfully, what you don't see @ minute 4 is in him asking me, "Are you ready?" and I reply..."Nooo." Glad they cut that little snip-it out and cut right to me saying, "I'm ready!"
Was I?
No.
Did I do it?
Yes.
And I really can't wait to do it again!

Salzburg & Vienna

Salzburg was a blast! I really mean it. Cameron and I spent our first day there on the Original Sound of Music Tour! I literally cried when we got on the bus. Cameron asked me why I crying and all I could say was... "This is my childhood." I know it's stupid and a little over-dramatic but it really was. My parents would put The Sound of Music in the VCR(that's what we had before DVD's for all those babies out there)and I my sister and I would watch it over and over and over again. My mother called it the best babysitter she could ask for, well... that and Grease. She could have left the house and we wouldn't have noticed until we got hungry.

It was surreal and wonderful.

I am 16 going on 17~

Lake Scene...

I've got confidence in sun shine!

The Lake District

The second day we woke up to rain and 'got lost' in Salzburg. I don't mean literally lost but I'm sure we walked by a few places at least 3 times. We didn't really plan what we wanted to see we just went with the flow. Nice but, tiring on the legs.

Maria's Abbey

Day 3 we stopped a few places that had been closed the day before. I wasn't allowed to take pictures at Mozart's house, The Salzburg Museum of Art and the Residence. But, I was able too at Hellbrunn Palace and enjoyed some time laying out in the sun and the Trick Fountain Tour was hilarious. We some how got put in with a much older group from France and it's a long story but, it was fun.

Trick Fountains

I thought this was so cute. We couldn't find a lock of our own to add to it~ :(

Day 4 we woke up, packed our bags and headed for Vienna. Our GPS kept taking us through all these small towns and after about an hour of this I stopped the car and put us on the autobahn. Where our drive was cut in half. We checked into our hotel and left to find our tour in Vienna. Where we literally got lost and missed it. Tired, hungry and annoyed we went back to the hotel and arranged for tour to pick us up the next morning for it.

On Day 5 our driver picked us up and brought us to a bus that took us to our next bus that took us on our tour. Stupid right? We would have never found it even if we had known the right place to go. At this point, both Cameron and I were ready to go home. We saw all the sights and sounds of Vienna but I didn't really take any pictures b/c my batteries were dying and it's impossible to find batteries. The highlight was Schobrunn Palace. It was the summer residence of the Austrian Royal Family. Quiet magnificent. After spending the afternoon there we grabbed some lunch downtown and decided to head home early.

Next stop... Switzerland!

Something to look foward too~

Sadly, Cameron and I have had a long boring winter here in Germany. I swear the sun was only visible about 4 hours of the day, which is not exactly ideal traveling weather. Cameron's work schedule was another factor, he's been a little too busy for my taste with his new position. Any-who, I figured I'd blog about a list of places we are planning on visiting this summer~
In June we've planned a 5 day trip in Austria. First we're going to Salzburg and doing The Original Sound of Music tour~ OMG! So excited! I've wanted to go on this tour for a year now... and we'll go to the Lake district, walk around Salzburg and then maybe a boat trip and visit Mozart's home. From there we go to Vienna. I hear good things about Vienna... we're spending 2 days there and I already booked a tour that includes Schonbrunn Palace. Maybe do some shopping the next day and then we go home.
Soon after we're going to Interlaken, Switzerland for 4 days. It might sound familiar if you watched the Bachelor last season with that retard, Ben. Beautiful place, dumb people. Anyways, I'm really excited for this one too. This is our hiking and biking and adventure trip. I just booked our hotel and a canyoning day trip. For those of you who don't know what canyoning is here ya go!

I also hear that Switzerland is breath taking-ly beautiful and breath taking-ly expensive. I believe it. One of Cameron's co-workers said he spend almost $100 on McDonald's for his family. OH GOSH~ I'll be packing sandwiches, snacks and breakfast is included in our hotel price. Thank God.
As of right now Prague, Czech Republic. We booked a hotel for this weekend but bunch of stuff is going on, so we couldn't go. Boo!
Everyone I spoke to said they went to Prague thinking it wouldn't be much, but there was in fact, too much to do. 'They' all had wished they spent much more time there. So, I plan on 4 days.
I also need to head up to Boleslawiec, Poland. It's about a 4 hour drive from here; and that is where you buy the famous Polish pottery. It's dirt cheap when you buy it in Poland compared to anywhere else. I think we'll hit up Prauge and Poland in the same trip.
Late this summer is the BIG trip this year. We're going on a 10 day cruise on the Greek Isles. Cameron and I have wanted to do this LONG before we even found out we where moving to Europe. I need crystal clear blue water in my life. It starts in Venice, Italy (which I LOVE)from there we go to Split, Croatia. Then off to Chania(Souda), Crete. And then Corfu, Piraeus(Athens), Mykonos, Santorini, Katakolon, all in Greece. Out of all the places we're stopping 2 are on my bucket list. Santorini and Athens. If you don't know what or where Santorini is, I'm sure you've seen the pictures.
*Sigh*
What a great opportunity we have here in Europe!
